I am currently studying a BA (HONS) in Fashion Retail Management at Birmingham City University, which enables me to combine my interest in fashion with business, as well as management skills. Between my work experiences and employments, I’ve gained various different skills, which along with my enthusiasm and confidence, benefits me when it comes to interacting with people who I work with as well as the job roles, which I am given.

Marketing

- Based around the business side of the fashion industry.

- Identified a fashion retailer by researching into previous marketing campaigns.

- Identified their competitors and current marketing strategy.

- Wrote a report and created a power point presentation showing a new marketing strategy

  for a chosen retailer.

Visual Merchandising

- Created a concept window for high street retailer Topshop, based on specific key trends

  for S/S 2012.

- Considered product placement, trends, as well as brand image.

- Produced three different mood boards and produced a concept window based around

  a specific theme.

Trends Forecasting

- Predicted future fashion trends for Autumn/Winter 2016.

- Considered all the PESTR factors in terms of how they influence future and current trends.

- Wrote a visual report on the key aspects that would affect the fashion industry in the future.

- Through InDesign, created a look book and mood board to highlight new designs,

  colour palettes, textures and fabrics.

Events Management

- Worked in a group to plan a live event by working with a charitable organisation.

- Specific roles and responsibilities were given to each person.

- The marketing, sponsorship, promotion, PR and finance were all considered.

- Worked under pressure and to a deadline.

- Organised the press release and through InDesign, designed the flyers and tickets.
